Roles and responsibilities

Account Executives (AEs) will power Synaptics go-to-market engine by sourcing and closing new customers.

You’ll become a strategic advisor to some of the world's leading investors. You’ll run discovery calls with inbound prospects, understand their challenges, then convert them to customers to expand Synaptic network. We’re looking for AE's with the hunter mentality - whenever you’re not working on inbound prospects, you’ll work to target new prospects to fill your pipeline.

This isn’t just a quota-carrying role. Given the stage and rapid product development you'll work closely with the Synaptic product, customer success, and engineering teams to help inform the product development and markets we expand to. As an early member of a startup backed by top VC's, you’ll have early exposure to founders and leading investors.

Your Primary Focus
 
You'll be a full-sales-cycle Account Executive helping grow the Synaptic client base.  You will be tasked with finding new opportunities globally, with a bias to North America and Europe, across a broad set of accounts.  

  • Win more customers: Understand the needs of prospects and become a master of consultative selling to bring on more marquee logos.
  • Building pipeline: Strategically research, call, and email top tier investors to acquire more customers.
  • Contribute to strategic projects: As a member of an early stage team, you’ll work directly with the leadership on a wide array of key initiatives from alternative data partnership to building out the go to market strategy. 

About You

On day one, you’ll have exposure to founders, executives, and investors. The ability to “punch above your weight class” is key.

  • Experience:  Minimum 2 years of quota-carrying and exceeding targets. B2B SaaS sales experience closing 5-figure and 6-figure deals, bachelor's degree
  • Curiosity: Demonstrated knowledge and interest in the VC, PE, Hedge Fund investor market. Understanding of the Alternative data space is a major plus.
  • Grit and resilience: You continue to push the pace and fill your own pipeline to blow past quota.
  • Resourceful: Ability to navigate ambiguity and learn as you go
  • Coachability: You become a master of your craft and immerse yourself in the industry
  • Emotional Intelligence: You can read the room and communicate with impact.
